Verification
Our partners test every batch. We recommend you have it tested again, by a laboratory you choose or one we recommend, before the goods move.
How verification runs
- The specification is agreed in writing at feasibility, before production
- The partner tests the batch and issues its own certificate
- Samples are drawn and sealed at the partner's site, under the partner standard
- Three to five samples per batch are sent directly to the laboratory
- The laboratory tests against the agreed specification, not a house sheet
- The certificate reaches you before the goods move
- You accept or reject the batch on that result
- A rejected batch is replaced, and the replacement is retested at our cost

What it costs
Testing is charged to you at cost when it is commissioned, on the laboratory's own invoice terms.
If the batch conforms
The full testing cost is credited against your order once the batch is accepted.
If it does not
The batch is replaced at no material cost to you, and the replacement batch is retested at our cost.
The basis of supply
We report the result as the laboratory returns it, pass or fail. We do not warrant that a third party's material will meet limits we did not set. What we stand behind is that the material we supply conforms to the specification we agreed with you. That distinction is on every quote and in the terms of sale, and it is the reason the specification is agreed in writing before anything is made.
Choosing a laboratory
You may use a laboratory of your own choosing, or one we recommend. We do not own a laboratory, we do not take a margin on testing beyond a stated handling charge, and we do not accept a certificate from a laboratory we have not qualified. Named laboratories are given at feasibility, once the specification and the methods are settled.
